PhD Admission in the University of Alberta, Canada

PhD Admission : The University of Alberta is seeking qualified and motivated master's students to join my group in the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at the University of Alberta for Fall 2024 (or earlier). Students will be involved in various aspects of our research, focusing on understanding the sources, fate, and transport of microplastics, nanoplastics, and organic contaminants in the environment. Research in our lab encompasses the interface of colloid science, environmental nanotechnology, contaminant hydrogeology, and wastewater treatment. Required Qualifications :

Background in Chemical engineering, Environmental engineering, Environmental science, Civil engineering, or a related field.

☐ Laboratory experience and familiarity with analytical techniques such as SEM/TEM microscopy, FTIR spectroscopy, dynamic light scattering, XRD, LC-MS, ICP-MS, etc.

☐ Analytical and research skills.

Experience in data analysis tools and Python programming is an asset.

Effective written and verbal communication skills.
