PhD Admission : The University of Illinois Springfield is offering an MS-level Graduate Research Assistantship for participation in GeoAI projects related to surveying or monitoring. The assistantship will be for two years starting on 16 August 2024, providing tuition waiver, stipends for spring and fall semesters, summer income as a field technician, and research support. The selected student will be co-advised by Dr. Yun Zhao and Dr. Tih-Fen Ting.

Potential Projects :

Habitat management and restoration

Monitoring of invasive species

Wildlife conservation

Qualifications :

Background in ecology, conservation, environmental science, or computer science.

Strong writing and quantitative skills.

Coursework and experience with GIS and statistics.

High academic performance.

Endurance for fieldwork.

Strong work ethic and attention to detail.
