Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST)

PhD Admission: Recruitment of Ph.D. candidates in international security, nuclear policy, and energy security in the Division of Public Policy at the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST).

Field of research

The applicant should have strong interests in international security, nuclear policy, or energy security and, preferably but not necessarily, a background related to these fields. As a Ph.D. student under my supervision, your research would have to be at the nexus of public policy/political science and science/technology. If you are someone with a policy/political science background who wants to better understand the technical aspects of world-changing technologies or an engineering/physics student who wants to go beyond equations and study the impact of technologies on global security, I encourage you to apply!
